Scout Activities Arrangements (Updated on 16/02/2021)
Whilst pandemic situation is becoming a bit stable, Scout members are still encouraged to conduct meetings, activities and training through online and other virtual means for the sake of health safety. Also, the Association has effect the following arrangements:
- Youth Members:
Face-to-face activities, training and Group meetings continue to be suspended until 3 March.
- Adult Members:
Face-to-face training will be resumed in phases having regard to health safety. Starting from 18 February, face-to-face adult scout training courses and workshops organized by Branches, Regions and Leadership Training Institute satisfying specific criteria and with approval of the Association can be resumed.
Except for those approved scout training courses / workshops, other face-to-face activities and training continue to be suspended until 3 March.
In conducting the approved scout training courses / workshops, and for necessary face-to-face adult members’ meetings or preparatory work and support for online training and activities, please observe the government precautionary measures and social distancing requirements so as to minimize risk of infection.
During this period, leaders may have to perform unavoidable face-to-face Scout administrative work such as certifying badge certificates / record book of youth members or distribution of raffle tickets, they should observe the government precautionary measures and social distancing principle, and as far as possible meet the youth members or their parents individually, thus minimizing social contact in large group.
