Donations to flooding disaster victims in Taiwan
(An appeal to all Scout members for donating HK$50 or more)
Typhoon Morakot which hit Taiwan on 8 August brought the highest record of rainfall in the past 50 years, lashing villages and cities in the middle and southern part of Taiwan with torrential downpours. The flooding disaster has brought tremendous loss of lives and severe economic damage to Taiwan, and with numerous people losing their homes and families. To live up the spirit of "World Scout Brotherhood", each Scout member is sincerely urged to donate HK$50 or more to the designated bank account of the Scout Association of Hong Kong. All donations collected will be sent to The General Association of the Scouts of China for the relief and rehabilitation work in the affected areas.
