Q: Who is eligible to apply for "Samson Sun Scout Fund"?
A: Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venture Scouts or Extension Scouts whose families are financially in despair may apply. You may download the application form for Samson Sun Scout Fund here.
Q: When I apply for the "Samson Sun Scout Fund"?
A: Samson Sun Scout Fund is open for application throughout the year.
Q: How may I submit the application form and when will the application result be announced?
A: Completed application form with District Commissioner's endorsement and supporting documents should be submitted to the Chief Commissioner for approval via the Administration Branch by post or by hand. Applicants who submit their application on or before 15th of each month will normally be notified of the result by the end of that month. However, applications without sufficient supporting document may require longer processing time.
Q: If a Scout Group which is sponsored by a school does not have a Group Scout Leader, can the application be recommended by the Principal instead?
A: No. The application has to be recommended by respective sectional Scout Leader.
Q: How can I obtain "Samson Sun Scout Fund" subsidy?
A: Administration Branch will send vouchers to successful applicants via their respective Scout groups. Successful applicants can redeem items of Scout uniform and accessories with the vouchers at the Scout Shops.
